Period Blanket

A period blanket is a special waterproof blanket meant to protect sheets and mattresses from menstrual blood. Most period blankets are intended to be used in conjunction with another menstrual product, as overnight backup for a very heavy flow. Period blankets are made from the same materials as cloth pads — an attractive top layer, several absorbent layers, a waterproof layer, and possibly an additional backing — but are much larger, enough to cover a significant portion of a bed.
